Aladdin(PRINCE STREET PLAYERS' VERSION)
Book and Lyrics by
Jim Eiler Music by Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy |
Magical, mystical and major fun, ALADDIN uses flavors from the Far East to tell the household story of an urchin, his lamp, his genie, and his love. Using the art of Ancient Chinese Staging, an all-knowing and all-seeing the Stage Manager and his two Assistants tell the story of Aladdin -- an "idle rag-a-muffin," kite flying enthusiasts. After happening upon and falling hopelessly in love with the emperor's daughter, Princess Mei Ling, Aladdin is determined to become the richest man in China and marry her, but fate is a fickle mistress and Aladdin's is about to take a few treacherous and hilarious turns before he can have his Happily Ever After.
